The Local-Context Rule, Applied Rigorously

Read one sentence before and one sentence after the referenced detail, every time, before answering — not because you might not remember the passage, but because Function answers are specifically about the detail's relationship to its immediate neighbors, which broad recall doesn't capture precisely.
