Law passages argue from precedent, doctrine, and principle rather than empirical evidence — a different texture from science passages, useful practice given the eventual career direction.
1. Doctrine as Premise
Legal passages often cite a rule or precedent as a premise, then argue a case does or doesn't fit it — structurally similar to Principle-Apply questions in LR.
2. Competing Legal Interpretations
Watch for passages presenting two schools of legal thought on the same doctrine — track which interpretation the author favors, if any, using the same viewpoint-inventory discipline from Day 3.
