RC Maintenance: Comparative Passages, an Introduction

One of the four RC passage sets is always comparative: two shorter, related passages instead of one long one. Today is a first pass at the format before Phase 3 dedicates two full days to it.

1. Map Each Passage Separately First

Build a quick function-map for Passage A, then Passage B, before touching any question — treat them as two mini-passages, not one long one.

2. Then Map the Relationship

Do the passages agree, disagree, or address different aspects of the same topic? This relationship is what most comparative-specific questions test.
