Principle II: Apply the Principle

Yesterday you abstracted a rule from a case. Today reverses it: given a general principle, find the specific case it justifies (or that conforms to it).

1. Match Every Condition

If the principle has multiple conditions ("if a policy is unpopular and costly, it should be reconsidered"), the correct case must satisfy all of them, not just one.

2. Beware Partial Matches

Wrong answers often satisfy half the principle convincingly while quietly failing the rest.
